MNI (Magnemag Numtec International) was created following the merger in 2004 of Magnemag A/S (Denmark) and Numtec Interstahl GmbH (Austria), the two leading providers of marking technology solutions for the steel and aluminium industry.

MNI is world market leader in the field of product identification (marking and tracking). We are a “full-liner” for all marking and reading technologies throughout the process chain in every sector of the metallurgical industry.

The need for a high quality product identification and product tracking systems is growing rapidly throughout the metallurgical industry and its associated markets. Steel consumers want to be certain of being able to track any product defects directly back to the original production location, in order to keep the need for corrective measures to the absolute minimum necessary.

From its base in Regau, NUMTEC-INTERSTAHL GmbH has emerged as a key supplier of marking and reading technology for aluminium wheels in the automobile industry.

MNI is wholly-owned by Montana Tech Components AG, a technology group with its headquarters in Switzerland. Group turnover in 2007 was approximately EUR 350 million.
