The following description is valid for all MAGNEMAG marking machines for marking on plates, coils, pipes, profiles, slabs, blooms or billets. The MAGNEMAG marking machines are fully automatic, with marking data being down loaded from a supervisory (host) computer system to the PLC of the marking machine. The PLC passes the marking data to the Magnemag driver which translates the marking data into dot markings on the material to be marked.

If a host computer is non existing MAGNEMAG is able to supply a "Host simulator PC", where data can be entered and edited. To ensure the integration of the marking machine in the customer’s production lines, the control system includes facilities for interlocking signals as part of a complete and safe operation.

Positioning arrangements for the marking heads and necessary supporting steel structures are part of the marking machines.

Marking data may be amended on the HMI (Human Machine Interface) prior to marking – either through a PC with Scada software or an operator touch panel.
The paint/pneumatic cabinet supplies paint and compressed air to the spray guns as well as cooling air for the punchers. The maintenance panel for service operation comprises emergency stop, key switches, push buttons and lamps etc.
