Magnemag operate with two main solutions for upgrading your existing paint marking system to CombiJet paint technology:
• Full Integration into existing paint marking machine system (only offered when
revamping your existing Magnemag or Numtec PLC controlled paint marking
machine)
• Standard Package CombiJet for add on to any existing paint marking machine
system
For further information regarding the two solutions please see the below descriptions.
Full Integration into Existing Paint Marking Machine System
When upgrading your existing Magnemag or Numtec PLC controlled paint marking machine there are three different solutions depending on your requirements and budget.
• Line Based (One to One)
• Line Based (Higher Resolution)
• Matrix Based (Higher Resolution and Free Marking Layout)
Magnemag will have the full responsibility for the integration. The new components will be specially designed to fit into the existing system and all functions will be kept as they were before, unless otherwise agreed or informed.
For more information on the three different solutions please read below.
Line Based (One to One):
For this solution the same number of lines and marking nozzles are used as for the existing solution. This means that the marking layout and the resolution of the characters remain unchanged.
Best Suited For: All Magnemag paint marking machines with character size equal to or lower than 50 mm. Product temperatures below 450 °C.
Benefits: Higher quality marking, easy maintenance, reduced air, paint and solvent consumption and significantly reduced maintenance time and low setting up times compared to a conventional system.

Line Based (Higher Resolution):
For this solution the same numbers of lines are used as for the existing solution but the numbers of nozzles are increased in order to mark high resolution markings. This means that the overall marking layout structure is unchanged. High resolution logos and characters are marked with the exact number of nozzles that fit your requirements.
Best Suited For: All Magnemag paint marking machines where product temperature is below 450 °C.
Benefits: Higher resolution quality marking, easy maintenance, reduced air, paint and solvent consumption and significantly reduced maintenance time and low setting up times compared to a conventional system.

Matrix Based (Higher Resolution and Free Marking Layout):
For this solution the marking layout is freely defined by the customer. Any logo, font or special characters can be placed anywhere within the matrix and with different text size from plate to plate.
Best Suited For: All Magnemag paint marking machines where product temperature is below 450 °C.
Benefits: Higher resolution quality marking, free marking layout, easy maintenance, reduced air, paint and solvent consumption and significantly reduced maintenance time and low setting up times compared to a conventional system.

Both markings are made using the same 160-nozzle marking head

Standard Package CombiJet For Add On To Any Existing Paint Marking Machine System
The Standard Package CombiJet offers a high quality low cost upgrade of your existing paint marking machine system. The package can be added to any system whether it is delivered by MNI or any other supplier. The standard package consists of the following components:
• Full Matrix Paint Marking Head (different sizes with different numbers of paint
nozzles)
• Paint Pneumatic Unit
• Control Unit
• Special Hoses and Cables

All components used for the package are specially selected high quality standard components. The components are designed to fit into most machines. When adding the standard package to an existing marking machine the customer is responsible for most of the integration as only small adjustments to the existing machine is required.
Magnemag offers a set of options which are designed to match the standard package.
• MagView Remote HMI PC for easy overview of status and manual editing of
marking data
• MagFont software for font and logo design and modification
• Encoder in marking head or roller table. If the speed of the product is not
constant, an encoder, which can transfer the actual speed of the product to
the control unit of the marking system, is required for correct positioning of the
markings on the product
• Technical Support and Service
